What we do Youth work Youth work We believe every young person should have the opportunity, resource and support the achieve their full potential. YMCA Newcastle provides unconditional support to young people in Newcastle. Our aim is to enable young people to fulfill their full potential by offering them the opportunity, resource and support to achieve this. We believe that all young people are individuals and have the right to achieve their full potential. Many of the young people we work with have barriers to achieving their full potential but we encourage them to have more control over their lives and to make informed choices where possible. We provide the opportunities, resources and support to enable them to make and maintain positive changes to their lives. We encourage young people to achieve this by taking part in activities and be involved in their community, this allows them to gain confidence and develop personal and social skills. Programmes and activities that we have on offer include: Duke of Edinburgh Camping Outward bound trips Volunteering opportunitites Youth Cafe and street work Drop In Sessions Art and Creative Workshops If you would like to take part in our Youth Work activities or for more information, visit our Walker Project and SPACE2... pages.
