Over the next 12 months, young people from SPACE2... are raising money towards the upkeep of the centre and activities to support young people in need. SPACE2... has almost 4000 young people across the city who access the centre on a regular basis for Support with employment, homelessness, sexual health, relationships, education, well being and a range of activities.


SPACE2... is located on Pilgrim Street in Newcastle City Centre and is open to young people aged 11-25.

Last year at SPACE2...

  • 64% of young people who were previously unemployed secured work as a result of our Job Club. We trained and appointed 6 young work coaches to support the initiative
  • 401 young people were supported to overcome a personal crisis such as homelessness or abuse
  • 117 young people took part in independent living workshops supporting them to manage finances and debt and cook nutritious meals on a budget
  • 69 young people took part in citizenship and activism programmes around prejudice and discrimination
  • 17 young people completed our accredited volunteer training programme
  • 37 young people completed a prestigious Bronze or Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award- this involves weekly
  • volunteering and developing a new skill and physical activity before undertaking 2 camping and hiking expeditions
